EYEAFRICA TV: Bakau, The Gambia: Gambian fans started throwing stones at police paramilitary officers on duty at the fully-packed independence stadium in Bakau immediately after the final whistle in a Friday evening game between the Scorpions and Palancas Negras of Angola.
The Scorpions lost to the Central African nation 1-0 at home and will be travelling to Rwanda tonight for a training camp before meeting the Palancas Negras again next Monday for the second-leg. They now require to score two goals to be able to secure a qualification to the next level.
Angolan number 6 player Wilson Castro scored the lone goal in the 35th minute of the game. The Gambian side has had several goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them.
