UDP elects Darboe as presidential candidate after edging out three other opponents

EYEAFRICA TV: Manjai Kunda, THE GAMBIA:- The United Democratic Party (UDP) has unanimously elected Lawyer Ousainou Darboe as the flag-bearer and presidential candidate for December 4th presidential elections.

Darboe was elected after edging out three other candidates.

The party’s Central Committee met at the Manjai Kunda bureau where they vetted Ousainu Darboe, the Secretary General; Abdou Darboe, the Deputy Regional Chairman; Ousainou Mboob, the KMC Regional Administrative Secretary; and Lamin J. Darboe from Gunjur for the top post.

Speaking to at the gathering after the elections, Darboe said: “December 4 is when we will have the election and on December 5, it’s me who will be declared the winner.”
