The Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission, TRRC has submitted its interim report to the Government of the Gambia on Wednesday. Chairman of the commission, Dr. Lamin Sise handed copies of the report to the Minister of Justice, Abubacarr Tambadou during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Justice for onward transmission to the President. The TRRC was established in December 2017 to create impartial historical record of violations and abuses of human rights from July 1994 to January 2017. The body is task with the responsibility to promote healing and reconciliation among victims and perpetrators during the Era of Jammeh. The TRRC held its first public hearing on 7th January, 2019 and concluded its tenth session on 5th December, 2019.
