EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, The Gambia: New intake to the TAF Africa Global Leadership Academy were oriented on Monday, to form part of the next generation of managers of the affairs of the continent.
Out of over six hundred applicants, three hundred participants made it to the final list to take up the opportunity to discover their fuel to excellence.
Admission of the youth for the leadership programme followed the Pan African estate development agency’s hosting of a two-day event of its fifth edition of Taf Africa Conference and Networking (TAFCON), which formed part TAF Africa Global’s cooperate social responsibility since inception in December 2015. The conference laid emphasis on business opportunities, policy shaping and decision making.
Chief executive officer of TAF Africa Foundation, Mustapha Njie hopes that the initiative will enable the young men and women in becoming game changers in a way they could give back to their country.
The leadership academy enjoys a share from seven different investment initiatives of the Gambia’s largest private sector. To Mr Njie, the whole energy is driven by passion and loves for the job.
The first batch of the Taf leadership academy which consisted 50 young people was inaugurated in February 2019 by the management and associates.
