SOUTH SUDAN CITIZENS DISMAYED OVER POOR STATE OF ECONOMY

 

South Sudan’s citizens have expressed their dismay over the poor state of the country’s economy, largely due to years of civil war and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, according to central bank officials.

The president has instituted a committee headed by one of the vice presidents to develop strategy to remedy the situation.

Over 90 percent of the country’s revenue comes from oil, but with a fall in prices of the global market, the government has resorted to other options.
