EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, The Gambia: Rising Stars Africa, a product of Bangz Entertainment Saturday launched their season 3 series at a press conference held at Metzy residence hotel.
An organisation that brings together talented people in various areas to exhibit their talents, Rising Stars Africa is a popular reality show that organise talent competitions that provide participants, mainly youth, a platform to showcase, display and discover their talents.
This year, they are partnering with QTV. “We are excited about this partnership. It is time for us to show our talents and it is time to encourage young Gambians in singing, poet and whatever they might be good at,” Kujay Kah, QTV representative said.
She expressed excitement about the partnership and encouraged Gambian young people to start registration for auditions. She also congratulated the chief executive officer of Bangs Entertainment and producer of Rising Stars Africa, Mariama Bangura and the team for their amazing work.
Lamin Darboe, executive director of National Youth Council (NYC) called on the private sector, civil society organisations and government to extend support to the event.
Chief executive officer of Bangs Entertainment Mariama Bangura said they have face serious financial setbacks in the production of the Rising Stars Africa season 2. “But the season 3 promise to be bigger and better and our current budget stands at 3.7 million dalasi.”
She said they cannot do everything on their own, while appealing to business community, NGOs, government agencies and embassies to help make the season 3 a more successful event. “We appreciate the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport and QTV and QCELL for being our official partners.”
