PRISONERS IN MILE 2 INFECTED WITH VIRUS

The coronavirus pandemic has entered the Gambia’s Mile II Central Prison, a maximum-security jail situated a few kilometers outside the capital, Banjul.

 

 More than fifty prisoners are reported to have been infected with the virus, according to the Point Newspaper, a local daily. The government confirms 20 covid cases on Friday.
