Presidents Kagame and Museveni commit to normalise relations between Uganda and Rwanda

EYEAFRICA TV: Kigali, Rwanda: The summit took place in Luanda and the Heads of State thanked Angola’s and the DRC’s Presidents for their efforts in the drive to once again improve bilateral relations between Rwanda and Uganda.

An announcement has confirmed that H.E Paul Kagame and H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni are committed to peace, stability, good neighborliness and restoring of trust between their 2 countries.

The announcement also described the meeting as taking place in an atmosphere of fraternity and perfect understanding and it was agreed that citizens of both countries as indicated on lists in detention are to be released.

It was also made clear that both sides should refrain from all activities that may appear to support, finance or train infiltrating and destabilizing forces that may seek to encroach on their neighbor’s territory.

This is the 3rd time such a summit has been held and the next meeting is to take place at the Gatuna Border on the 21st of this month of February.
