NIGERIAN FARMERS IN FEAR OF POOR SEASON

Farmers in Nigeria anticipates major loses in this year’s farming season as the country’s lock down due to coronavirus outbreak causes shortage in fertilizer.

The global crisis obstructs government’s plan in the production of fertilizer to support farmers during the season.

Despite the great contribution of the sector to the country’s GDP, about 7 million people in thirteen states could face food scarcity, according to a data by the food and agriculture organization.
