New ferry named Kunta Kinteh finally arrives in Gambia

EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: The new ferry named after Kunta Kinteh meant for Banjul-Barra crossing has finally arrived at the Gambia Ports Authority grounds in Banjul.
Built by Diemen Shipyard in the Netherlands, the ferry was purchased by the former Jammeh government.
It was earlier revealed that the ferry was named after Babili Mansa but suddenly changed to its current name Kunta Kinteh.
Meanwhile, sources at GPA told Eye Africa that the ferry will be lowered 24 hours and that engineers are on the ground fixing the required equipment that will lift it down.
