Millions of people in West Africa have been displaced due to the jihadist insurgency in the sub-region, causing one of the biggest humanitarian crises in the world.
Experts say the United Nations needs to strategize its operations in a bid to bring stability in region.
The UN currently have about seven peacekeeping missions in Africa, with more than ten thousand troops in Mali.
