EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: Leader of the opposition Gambia Democratic Congress -GDC- Monday afternoon said he could address what he called the frequent and seemingly unending electricity blackout in the country if the government take his offer.
Mamma Kandeh said the recent electricity problem is worse than what Gambians have ever known. “This is not what Gambia has decided,” he said.
A former national assembly member under Gambia’s former Prssident Yahya Jammeh’s APRC party and presidential contestant in Gambia’s last December 1 election, Mr. Kandeh said he have a plan and an opportunity to help facilitate a temporary solution to provide a 24-hour electricity supply until at such time the power stations are capable. “I urge the government to take me on my offer for the sake of the Gambian people.”
