Vendors at major markets in The Gambia are to begin a sit-down strike on September 7 over Covid-19 regulations that limits and segments operating hours for food and non-food items sellers.
Markets in the capital, Banjul, the Kanifing Municipality, and the West Coast Region will be shut after several requests to have an audience with the government failed, according to the President of the Gambia Market Union, Pa Jabbie Gassama.
