EYEAFRICA TV: Nairobi, Kenya: Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed Major General Mohammed Badi of the Kenya Air force to head the Nairobi Metropolitan services. Badi who will be deputized by Enosh Momanyi will be in charge of functions transferred from Nairobi county governance to the national government.
The head of state has mandated Major General Mohammed Badi with the duty to end corruption and cartels that have taken over Nairobi county. While making the appointment President Uhuru regretted that internal constraints and capacity questions have deprived Nairobi residents of essential services including prompt garbage collection, street lighting, proper and sufficient water supply and licensing of operations in Kenya’s capital city.
The team will also foresee the Nairobi railway city master plan that would include creation and upgrading of 400 acres to attain a world class multi model railway.
