EYEAFRICA TV: Nairobi, Kenya: Kenyan security agencies have managed to trace a man who was denied residence at Windsor Hotel after exhibiting coronavirus symptoms and has taken him to a forced quarantine at Mbagathi Hospital.
Kenya’s Health Cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the man was traced to Serena Hotel in Nairobi and his test results will be known by Friday. Kagwe who was giving an update on the coronavirus situation in the country said all the seven patients who had turned positive are in stable condition.
Kenya is to commence random screening exercise against the novel COVID-19 virus from Saturday in targeted areas. Statistics indicate that over 600,000 individuals who have entered the country have been screened at the airport and other entry points, with 173 having been tested so far, giving only the 7 current positive cases.
According to the Cabinet Secretary a man who had been denied residence at Windsor Hotel in Nairobi for exhibiting coronavirus symptoms has been traced and placed under quarantine.
The man was found at the serena Hotel in Nairobi and was forcefully taken into Mbagathi hospital. The ministry of health still reiterating that for the country to win the war against the virus it will require Kenyans to adhere to guidelines given by the government.
