Jonathan is back in Banjul for talks over embattled draft constitution

EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA:-Former President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan is back in Banjul for the third time to support the country’s ongoing constitutional review process and facilitate the process of forging a workable national consensus.

Announcing his arrival on Facebook, Jonathan said: “I have just returned to Banjul to continue the consultations with Gambian stakeholders as the country makes progress with the constitutional review process.”

He thanked the government and the good people of the Republic of The Gambia for the warm reception.

Last month, leaders of 15 political parties went to Abuja for a 3-day dialogue with Jonathan

They however came back with no breakthrough and NPP accused UDP of been the cause of the stalemate.

The leaders are again expected to go back to the drawing board in a bid to a find a consensus.
