HIGH COURT IN BANJUL GRANTS BAIL IN THE PASSPORT SAGA

The high court in Banjul has released the former driver of president adama Barrow and a protocol officer at the Ministry of foreign affair on bail.

The duo was arrested for allegedly conspiring and forgery of  the Gambia’s diplomatic passport.

In September last year, Gambia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, told legislators that the Foreign Affairs Ministry issued over 1,000 diplomatic passports in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
