EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: The resigned former Foreign Secretary of The Gambia Democratic Congress -GDC- has told Eye Africa TV today that his resignation from the party was strictly based on integrity, saying the party’s administration is not in order and they are cracking and their particles are falling down.
The party announced today that Musa Batchilly is no more one of their member but Mr. Batchilly said he resigned from the party since May 13.
“They are incompetent. I stepped down voluntarily on May 13,” Mr. Batchilly told Eye Africa TV in an interview.
He said his resignation was not a distaste for the party but, “I decide to resign because of the incompetence of the administration.”
Mr. Batchilly said today he can pride himself of being one of the people who made the GDC party what it is today, saying even out of the 1 million that the party paid to the Independent Electoral Commission -IEC- for registration, he paid D50,000.”
