Gambia’s CRC commits to an inclusive Process

EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: Chairperson of Gambia’s Constitutional Review Commission (CRC) Justice Cherno Sulayman Jallow has said the Commission is committed to ensuring that the country’s constitutional review process is guided by high level of participation inclusiveness, independent and transparency that would promote citizenship and ownership of the new constitution that the commission had been mandated to draft.
The commission was established following the advent of Gambia’s new government in December 2016. Speaking at a press briefing, Justice Jallow said the mandate of the CRC is to draft and guide the process of promulgating a new Constitution for The Gambia and to write a report in respect of it.
