GAMBIA RISK MEAT SHORTAGE AS WEEKLY MARKETS SHUTDOWN FOR MONTHS

The weekly rural markets, known as Lumos, were closed in May as a measure to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

 

 These rural markets serve as a major supply of meat for livestock dealers, but their closure in May has severely limited supply.

 

 And the Gambia is now facing a possible shortage of meat.
