EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: Officers of Gambia’s Police Intervention Unit (PIU) have harassed Eye Africa TV cameraman while he was covering a meeting organised by Teachers For Change at Abuko Upper Basic School today.
Babucarr Manga was peacefully conducting his filming duties at the meeting ground when he was attacked by some PIU officers and beaten him causing him sone injuries. Teachers for Change is a group of Gambian teachers who have been organizing sit down-strikes in protest for salary increment and full payment of provincial and hardship allowances.
