The Foni Youth Association on Friday morning gathered in solidarity with the family of Haruna Jatta who was shot by forces of the West African military intervention in the Gambia in June 2017.
The death of the 52-year old followed a community protest against security occupation in Kanilai, the hometown of the exiled former president in Foni.
On the third anniversary of the incident, the youth in the area modified their call for justice by providing support to the widow and ten-year old son of late Mr Jatta.
Secretary General of the Foni Youth Association, Almami Gibba expressed the group’s commitment to pursue justice in the name of the Jatta Family.
