EYEAFRICA TV: Algiers: Algeria: Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Algerian president met on Wednesday the Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, Arancha Gonzalez Laya, who is on a visit to Algiers. During this meeting, the two parties reviewed political relations linking the two countries, and agreed on the need to work to promote the good cooperation by revitalizing coordination mechanisms, consultation and cooperation. The opportunity was for Mr.
Tebboune to express his gratitude to Spain for its pioneering position through its support for the organization of presidential elections in Algeria. He also welcomed the forthcoming Spanish Prime Minister’s visit to Algiers. Both sides converged on a number of regional and international issues, including the situation in Libya and the Sahel.
The Algerian FM minister Sabri Boukadoum, declared that Algeria and Spain agree 100% on issues of interest to both countries in all areas. Ms. Gonzalez Laya said that Algeria was a neighboring country, friend and also a strategic partner. And the two countries had the opportunity to restart this relationship together, welcoming the existence of cooperation between them as extremely useful and very effective in subjects such as migration and the fight against terrorism as well as a very good relationship in energy matters with the wish of his country to move up a gear.
