DRUG SHORTAGE ANTICIPATED IN PHARMACIES IN NIGERIA

Nigerian pharmacies are faced with drug scarcity, as the supply in medicine drastically drops due to the effects of the coronavirus global pandemic.

Last year, Nigeria spent over one billion dollars to import medicine in to the country mainly from China and India but Covid-19 has changed the trend.

The impact of the global crisis has significantly affected the health system, according to the country’s national food and drug administration.
