Did Gambians celebrate Ex-President Jammeh's birthday with public holiday?

EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: Gambia’s former President Yahya Jammeh clocked 52 years today, May 25th, 2017.
This year unlike the past 22 years, Mr Jammeh is celebrating his birthday in exile in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
Because Mr Jammeh is in exile, Gambians in Gambia also celebrate the day with a public holiday unlike in the past two decades when the day was meant for his birthday and not Africa Day .
He used to declare public holiday for his birthday and not Africa Day but today, Gambians observed Africa Day without a presidential birthday.
Over the past two decade, millions of dalasis were spent on his birthday anniversary notably in hiring foreign artists to perform in the night, hosting birthday dinner at the luxurious State House Garden as well as birthday cake and other activities at the expense of the state.
This year, there are no birthday messages on State TV, GRTS , no flyers and bill boards carrying birthday wishes from private institutions etc. It looks like Jammeh and his birthday date have all gone into exile
