EYEAFRICA TV: Geneva, Switzerland: Delegations constituting the Syrian Constitutional Committee arrived at the Palace of Nations in Geneva, on Wednesday, to hold their first meeting in the process of rewriting the constitution of the war-torn country.
Committee Co-Chair Ahmad al-Kuzbari was filmed leading the Syrian government delegation into the building, whereas Co-Chair Hadi al-Bahra led the opposition delegation. A third delegation was also filmed arriving, comprised of representatives of the civil society.
The 150-member constitutional committee aims to bring together the parties of the Syrian conflict in order to reach an agreement on redrawing the nation’s constitution. It will consist of members of the Syrian government, as well as representatives of the Syrian opposition and civil society.
