DA JAWO: Barrow boards commercial flight to Brussels to cut cost

EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: The information minister Demba Jawo has told Eye Africa that the decision by President Adama Barrow to fly on Brussels Airline to attend a donor conference was a deliberate effort by the Gambian leader to cut cost.

Barrow has made several travels but most of them were on a chartered flight. Critics said he flew on a commercial flight to Brussels because he was attending a donor meeting.

“The president has seen an opportunity, a direct flight to Brussels and he took it… Many places he went, there is hardly any direct flight to such destinations. It will not be convenient for the president to board a flight and have several stops at various points,” Jawo said.
