EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA:- Abdoulie Sanyang has been appointed as Gambia’s new Inspector General of Police, reliable sources told Eye Africa TV.
Sanyang’s appointment comes following the demise of late IGP Mamour Jobe last month.
The police high command has also confirmed the news of IGP Sanyang’s appointment. “The Police High Command wishes to inform the public that DIG Abdoulie Sanyang has been appointed as Inspector General of Police.
“The entire management and staff of the GPF congratulates him on his appointment and pray for him a successful stay in office,” the police said in a statement.
Sanyang was the Deputy Inspector General of Police, a position he served for many years under different police chiefs.
