4.5-magnitude earthquake hits north China, no casualties reported

EYEAFRICA TV: Tangshan City, Hebei Province, North China: A 4.5-magnitude earthquake hit Fengnan District, Tangshan city, north China’s Hebei Province, at 08:02 Thursday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 39.31 degrees north latitude and 118.04 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km.
The surveillance camera captured the earthquake in action, showing the traffic and pedestrians at road intersection not affected by earthquake. But the camera shook for over ten seconds.
Local emergency department immediately carried out investigation in epicenter of earthquake — northwest of Liudezhuang village of Liushuquan Town, Fengnan District.
Strong tremors were felt in the nearby regions but no casualties or residential building collapse were reported. So far, production and life are back to normal.
“The tremors is huge but no property loss,” said a villager.
