EYEAFRICA TV: Dakar, SENEGAL: President Macky Sall has departed Dakar for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he will take part in the US-Arabic Islamic Summit scheduled in Riyad on May 21 2017, a statement from the Senegalese Presidency said.
This summit will be an opportunity to reflect on the issue of violent extremism.
During the Summit, the foundation stone will be laid for an international Center for Combating Extremist thought, initiated and financed by Saudi Arabia.
At the end of the Summit, the Head of State will proceed to Ahmedabad, India on May 22, 2017, to attend the 52nd Session of the ADB Annual Meetings, at the invitation of the President of the African Bank Group Development Committee Mr. Akinwumi ADESINA.
According to the statement from the Senegalese Presidency, during this session, President Sall will participate in the High-Level Panel on Agricultural Transformation with his African counterparts from Rwanda, Kenya, Liberia, Mauritius and Nigeria.
He is schedule to return to Dakar on 24 May 2017.
