21 People to remain in custody till June 17 in connection to Koina Caste Incident

EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: The Gambia Police Force have arrested 21 people in connection to last Saturday’s violent clash between castes in Koina, Upper River Region (URR).

This was confirmed to Eye Africa Tv by the public relations officer of police Superintendent Lamin Njie on late Tuesday adding that the arrested people have been charged and arraigned before the Basse Magistrate court earlier today and will remain in custody until June 17, 2019 for further hearing.

They were charged with offences ranging from assault, causing bodily harms, destruction of properties amongst others.
