More than one hundred inmates and a Prison Staff have tested positive for covid-19 at a government prison in Northern Uganda.
The infected inmates have been moved to a medical facility where they are undergoing treatment.
The number of inmates contracting the virus is close to half of the three hundred cases confirmed on Saturday by the Ugandan Health Ministry.
According to the officials, this is the highest number of recorded cases in a single day. However, more than twenty Prison Staff are on quarantine.
