EYEAFRICA TV: Banjul, THE GAMBIA: Office of Gambia’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice has called the recent news published on Freedom online newspaper on the sacking of the country’s Interior Minister Ahmed Mai Fatty, saying the story, as portrayed by the news medium was unfounded.

On Friday, President Adama Barrow relieved Mr. Fatty of his cabinet appointment without giving any reason but many people has connected it to the revocation of permit to group of people who says they were goi g to conduct a “peaceful” assembly in protest against the country’s power house NAWEC for a protracted water and electricity failure.

In the Freedom newspaper article, it was alleged that Mr. Fatty was involved in a criminal activity where he received a huge amount of Money from Simlex company to be allegedly given to President Barrow to persuade him to award them the country’s biometric passport contract.
