LEBANON’S RULING COALITION LOSES MAJORITY IN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION

The recent parliamentary election in Lebanon has left citizens hoping for a change after the ruling coalition lost its majority in the house of Representatives.
The election was the first held since a 2019 nationwide uprising against a political elite widely seen as corrupt and ineffective.
The new parliament is expected to choose a speaker, cabinet, and in October a new leader that could transform the lives of citizens.
