EYEAFRICA TV: Marrakech, MOROCCO: Gambia beat Guniea Conkary by a goal to nil in a friendly game in Morocco thanks to Ebrima Sohna solitary strike in the first half.

Tom Saintfielt and his counterpart Paul Put started with a 4-3-3 formation but it was the Sylli Nationale who enjoyed the Lions share of possession.

Guniea who used the game as a preparatory outing ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt had three clear chances but failed to open the scoring as Modou Jobe defended gallantly.
The deadlock of the game was broken by Ebrima Sohna who replaced Sal Jobarteh in the 20th minutes.

After recess, the Gunieans came close to draw level but still found the towering Modou Jobe as a big stumbling block.

Saintfelt later in the game brought on Yankuba Jarju, Catania forward Khalifa Manneh and Gamtel defender Njine Faye as the Scorpions searched for another goal.

Despite a late attack from the Gunieans, the Scorpions held their might at the rear as the game ended 1-0 in favor of the Scorpions.

Saintfielt has given the entire team a day off on Saturday before they start training on Sunday to prepare for Wednesday game against Morocco. He will be hoping to have Captain Pa Modou Jagne fit. It is however it’s confirmed that Toulouse centre back Moussa Kamara will join the camp on saturday whilst Lamin Jallow will be with the team on Monday.
