EYEAFRICA TV: Brussels, BELGIUM: European Union and donor partners have reached a total pledge of 1.45 billion Euros for The Gambia for the implementation of the country’s fiver-year Development Plan (NDP) at the two days International Donor Conference for The Gambia which ended at the Belgian city of Brussels.

The conference which brought together world powers and international organizations was meant to seek funding for the development of the West African nation which is regaining its 22 years of isolation from the international community.

President Adama Barrow became Gambia’s president in the country’s December 1 2016 presidential election ending former president Yahya Jammeh’s 22-year fearful rule of the country. Mr. Jammeh’s government is accused of corruption and human rights violation throughout his 22 years leadership.
